I was vectoring guys for the ILS 15R at BWI about 0200 local yesterday morning and an AAL told me the winds at 3000 were 180 @ 95. I had to start the dogleg turn at about a 5 mile base because they were swinging so much. They were showing 330 across the ground on the downwind even though I had slowed them to 210 and between 90 and 110 kts on the final (Jets not not props).
Even had one SWA showing 80 kts on a 5 mile final, think thats the first time I have seen that.
It's been light lately, but we had 9 passengers on the first flight today.
Yeah, the weather yesterday was good times. We finally got off the ground at 10am with a full boat and it had really improved. Still garbage (I'm trying to get that put into a PIREP
