would it be illegal?

Went to go do low approaches at a rarely used military only field in Tennessee one time. We called ahead to Base Ops and they knew we were coming, but let us know they would be uncontrolled when we got there.

Took awhile to get center to understand where we were trying to go for the RNAV, but finally were cleared the approach and allowed to change frequencies. One turn around the hold, announced our intentions to a quiet UNICOM freq, and inbound we went.

As the airfield was too short for us to be able to do a touch and go, we decided early that we could go around at 20 ft. After my pilot asked for go around power, and I had set it, I looked up and down the the runway to see a Hummer in full reverse attempting to get off the runway at the only available taxiway.

At first, my aircraft commander thought it might have been a base commander showing off. However, being a mostly civilian testing facility, we later thought it was probably one of the Air Force security vehicles goofing off.

Not sure if his seats needed cleaning after the encounter. I'm sure seeing a 707 baring down on you could be an interesting moment in your life.
