World Wing Airways

Many startups do not come to fruition - or end up going out of business if they do start flying - but it's still good experience. Of course, you probably shouldn't take the job unless you feel they have a good chance of succeeding.

I'm not sure where their dispatch office will be located. The job posting didn't indicate a location for their corporate HQ, and a quick search found an FB page showing their offices are in Stockton, California, which is south of Sacramento.

Ah. I got SFO off their "About Us" page. Maybe they haven't decided yet.

About Us

Their website looks like something some 6th grader put together. Oh, and it's actually wordpress. As a former web developer, if they can't be bothered to put together a proper website then I don't really have a lot of faith this will ever go anywhere at all.

Entirely possible. It does say they'll be based out of the SFO airport, but corporate offices could be anywhere. Stockton is fairly close (about a 90 minute drive) and a lot cheaper than right by the airport. One thing the website is lacking is a mailing address on their "contact us" page.

Saw this the other day. They seem to be using the old TWA logo.
Not sure this will ever come to fruition.

Career Opportunities
Hmmm. The content and form of that website suggest strongly this is a community college business class project.

Or a foreign honeypot placed in the hope of acquiring pilot resumés.

Or maybe the first autonomously generated AI biz plan.

I particularly like how much of the verbiage derives verbatim from other websites. To wit: "The A320 Family is the most successful aircraft family ever and it was born ambitious. As the first civil aircraft to pioneer fly-by-wire technology, it has set the standard ever since its arrival and, thanks to significant annual investment of 300 million euros, the A320 Family continues to innovate.
The A320neos boast the very latest engines, large wingtip devices (Sharklets) and an innovative cabin and continue to go from strength-to-strength as the most comfortable, fuel-efficient and environmentally-friendly single-aisle aircraft."

So there's the long-sought solution! It's not 100 monkeys + Time = Shakespeare. It's 100 Spiders + 100 Monkeys = a lousy biz plan.

Or the whole thing is a practical joke and we just got owned.

Yeah, I'm thinking it isn't real. The facebook page has posts as far back as 2015 from Flight Simulator.

I will admit that the video touting the benefits of the A320 series Sooper$h!tter did have me hovering over the "Apply Now" button for a few moments.

Never to late to change the name before certification. What a terrible name.

Is the callsign going to be "Buffalo?"

I'm somewhat reminded of Family Airlines which became Avatar Airlines which has evidently shut down (I know their certification application was denied by the DOT in 2017 and their web site is no longer working.) That process dragged along for many years though, it was somewhat entertaining to observe but I never thought it had any chance of succeeding. I sometimes wondered if it was a practical joke also.

Barry Michales was pretty much laughed at when he reapplied, considering when he tried to start up before - he was thrown in prison for fraud.

He also opened up a few medical clinics here in Vegas along with trying to run for congress........

Here is the chief pilot....

Anyways - Website is a joke and i don't see this airline taking off....

Have no fear, just saw Barry Michaels posting stuff on LinkedIn for Avatar Airlines, he seems pretty confident they will be up and running by 2020. This will be fun to watch implode (again)
