Working for a company with "bad" affiliates

Came across some potential employers, and in the search recognized that a few of them have "bridge" programs that tend to be associated with some of the hotly debated PFJ programs.

For example, Falcon Aviation ( www.falconaviationacademy.com ) has a program which pairs up with Gulfstream Academy, if the client so chooses to pay.

The question is this: would you work for an employer that has programs like these, because they support one of the PFJ programs?

I'm not trying to start flam wars here, because we know most everyone's personal view for and against these programs. The question is asking whether you would consider employment with one that supports a PFJ program.
 
I personally would not. I can't justify working for a company that is destroying an industry I hope to join. I feel we as pilots, past, present and future, need to work together at eliminating these operations from existence.

With that said, you need to do what you have to in order to support yourself/family. If you have a certain level of income that needs to be maintained and this is the only opportunity that will provide it, then I say go for it until something better present itself. But I would exhaust all options before signing an offer letter.

Are you still working part time in PA?
 
no, currently collecting unemployment...looking for CFI jobs in various locations since Danielle is probably relocating in the next 6 months anyway.

Personally, I don't think I could work with a company affiliated with a PFJ program; hence the poll. I came across the company in a search for possible CFI jobs. Wont be applying there...
 
i would work for them if thats the only job i could get. Better than nothing in my book, but im just one of those young pilots destroying the industry for the older folk.


"Disclaimer": I would WORK for them, i would never do a PFJ like gulfstream though.

Don't try making excuses......we see where you really stand with this post you made. YOU SUPPORT PFJ 100%!!!! DON'T YOU?!?!?!

I agree with you. Just working for the place doesn't make one an instant supporter of a related program they may have, like PFJ. Two separate things, to me at least.
