I didn't mean to come off as mean as it sounded. I just meant that I think we all know that an engine failure, although a serious emergency that includes imminent contact with the ground, it is not a major cause of airshow fatalities.
No doubt. The only pressure put on him was self inflicted. And I am sure there was. Pride, as well as doing what he came there to do. It is very difficult to combat that.
If you ever read one of my MikeDs Accident Synopses I write for here quarterly, you'll notice they always start off with a quote that leads into the particular syonpsis.
One of the quotes I have posted which can easily apply to operations such as these, in a general sense, is:
