Wiggins Air BE99

KPQI...be prepared to freeze your nuts off up there!!! fun to fly into in the winter though! The old Colgan ops used to make Moose steaks for us when we flew in...it was a good time!
 
I worked for Wiggins flying the Van, It is a great organization, very professional, with great people, good benefits and they actually care about their employees. Mx is top knoch too
 
I got paid more than that to fly a 99 at AMF. 28k was starting pay in the PA31, you know that... I read the entire thread, just because it is higher than AMF doesn't make it good pay. AMF isn't the bar for which pay is based, we all know that.

Actually I worked on first year BE-99 pay. It is exactly the same as first year PA-31 pay. $2333/month. They separate in year two but not by much.

Pay in the BE-99 doesn't have much more to reference than AMF and Freight Runners. AMF is on the low end and Freight Runners is on the high end. Wiggins is right in the middle. That is why it is "good" pay rather than "great" pay. The airframe just doesn't provide the pay you likely want in this industry. Especially when you have cheap operators such as Martinair that can pretty much do the same job in a Van for way less. Freight Runners likely pays so high because you have to live in a not so good weather environment and because of the previously mentioned 24/7 on call schedule they do. In the current cargo environment 35k is good pay for a BE-99.
 
People talk a lot of smack about "regionals" but I make more than that at mine and have most weekends off. It doesnt seem right with the level of responsibility that it entails compared to compensation.
 
All I want to know is when am I gonna be able to Jumpseat on them? They go to some NE ski destinations and it would e perfect for me.

Lets not forget travel benefits and the ability to just "show up" and jumpseat virtually anywhere in the world. I'd be toast without those!
