I have said it four times already, guys, this is just a lighthearted thread. I don't seriously think that Purdue's flight program is better than any other, in all honest, the upper echelon of flight schools are all great, and no one school is dominant. They all have their glory.
That wasn't the point of this post (and I can't believe I have had to say this three times already).
If you read the first post of the thread again, you'll see that it was entirely based in sarcasm (read my previous reply of x% satire, y% farce and z% internet BS), and I was just trying to see if you guys would get overly defensive of your school (and you did) if I presented a 110% completely laughable "proof" as to why my flight school is better.
Think about this.... Is Boston a better city than whereever you live because they have the defending World Series champions? Heck no, it's the same as it was before (well, the people are a little less miserable now). It's laughable that you guys thought that someone could legitimately qualify a flight school by a Division 1 football team. If that was the case, the SEC and Big XII schools wouldn't be so... y'know.
A little light hearted chiding got overblown in proportions. In the first post, my intentions also were to 1) get some activity in the dead board [success of the failure kind!] and 2) find out how many people go to their regularly scheduled saturday flight slot when it coincides with a home football game.
And if you look at all of my replies [save one], I've explained this over and over and over again. I'm being facetious.
The thread about "Purdue is better than X school is down a few threads, it's called 'Purdue and the lack of publicity' " Read it for some insight on how a true "My school vs. your school" thread really should go.
Look back at the previous posts in this thread, of all the negativity, I account for about 5% of it, in one reply, and that was it, and I said I wouldn't be responding. I grew up and moved on.
Focus: This thread is about football and flight slots, and for us to have a little pride in our university, not to bash yours (maybe just your football program.
