Why I want to be a pilot

I'm the same way, I've yet to find an adequate explanation other than "it's all I've ever wanted to do" or "it beats working."

I got asked that the "why did you get into aviation" question the other day, and that was the best I could come up with. I kept getting asked over and over again and basically told them that's what I've always wanted to do, end of discussion.

Like many of you, I always just reply "It's the only thing I've always wanted to do". Ideas come and go, and I may spend a lot of time trying to become an entertainer, but since I was 4 I've wanted to be an airline pilot with the same intensity. Flying is something you either need to do or you don't. I need it.

On the subject, lately I've been editing flying photos I forgot I even took and putting them on facebook. Still can't believe I've seen half the stuff I've seen then forgotten about it since. Maybe its time for a photo thread.

I am a believer that many people were just born pilots. They just need a certificate or two to do it legally.
