So we can avoid yet another "What happened to (user)" thread where people aren't paying close enough attention to the 800 lbs gorilla that has to be in the room before I get off my ass and disinvite someone from the website....
Anyway, this is 'stream of consciousness' so don't expect grammar, few run-on sentences, or completeness of thought.
I consider my forum as an extension of my living room. MANY of you have, in fact, been in my living room because, for better or for worse, I trust you guys in my home.
Now, if I don't trust someone by the nature of their actions on the forum, why would I ever invite this person into my home? If I wouldn't invite them into my home because of misrepresentation, why in the hell would I want them on my forum?
Yeah yeah, it's just the internet. And any everyday disgruntled pilot with a "Yeah, screw that guy, Ah'mo start my own forum" attitude and about $100 can start an aviation internet forum. However, most of us are friends in the real world and only use JC forum as a communications conduit so we're different and I take this stuff seriously.
If you're just logging on to crack on our community. Beat it.
If you're just logging on because no other aviation forum would take you because of your attitude, drop the attitude or pound sand.
If you're misrepresenting yourself, like Tomcatter, AirAlgerie and a couple of other users in our past have, and I find out about it, that means that I can't trust you and my community has no need for you.
If you're interested in the "brotherhood" of the Jetcareers.com community, want to make real-world connections, network and understand that we're running much more than another mind-numbing "My plane is better than your plane" aviation internet forum, and want to be a part of our mostly functional family, welcome brothers and sisters!
