Why do you love your uniform?

Since the other thread was mostly about why one hates his/her uniform, I would love to hear from our Pilots/FA's why you love your uniform, whether the reason is for looking professional, picking up girls, or etc. Not to sound like an essay but please explain:D;)

I love wearing my uniform because I think it's attractive and makes me look like a professional. Remember, I've wanted to be a FA since I was about 10, so I do wear my uniform with pride. :)
I'm always well groomed with my hair, nails and makeup well within company standards, and believe me, management DOES notice.

I don't have to wear a uniform, but eventually when I do have to wear one I know I'll have the beauty of not needing to figure out what to wear every morning.

I agree.

1. Women dig it.
2. Never have to wonder what I'll wear to work today.
3. You know your position in the "pecking order" by sight, although that's more pronounced in the military than the civilian world.

I enjoy wearing mine, because people like to strike up conversations about being a pilot...and I love that! I enjoy talking to people about flying, after all, that's pretty much how I got talked into being a pilot..through word of mouth!

How exactly has bit helped you all in any way? What I mean is have you ever been a circumstance where your uniform has helped you? Think of it like the whole getting pulled over in uniform dillemma...

I'll echo Qgar and Velo's sentiments -

1) I look like a professional
2) Never have to try on 10 different outfits, checking out my butt and wondering if it makes me look fat or if it'll match my earrings
3) The children who aren't afraid of me smile at me and sometimes wave.
4) The men who aren't afraid of me smile at me and check out my butt, don't even notice that I have earrings, and sometimes wink.

I love my uniform because it means I still have a job.

:laff::laff::laff: Well, there you go. As usual, Baj cuts to the chase...and you guys should listen to him.

I liked my uniform because it cut down my overall clothing expense and I only needed one...every five years or so (dirty looks from the CP are the first sign you should reinvest). Can you imagine what all those pencil drivers have to spend to "dress for success" ?; money down a rat hole when the success part falls through.

Uniforms are cheap. Consider yourselves fortunate.:D:D

I'm on both ends of the spectrum here. In the ag plane, it's shorts and t-shirt. In the King Air, it's nice casual clothes. I wouldn't feel right in the ag plane dressed up, and wouldn't feel right in the King Air in the shorts and t-shirt. So to answer the question, I like both "uniforms" in the proper environment.

:yeahthat: THAT and men seem to dig the FA uniform. :p

That, plus it lets me cut to the front of the line when riding on those silly passenger airlines.

Oh....and that I only have to wear it until I'm on the jet helps too....

...and I can pick out the other dorks dressed like me from 500 meters...

They are not the only ones who notice. I'm painting a picture in my head right now! :laff:
