For an airline that's going be 100 in April, how come they act like it's their first day ever running an airline EVERY SINGLE TIME there's a weather event?Safe to say it's us (AA). I'm currently "lost" in the system and long timed out having a beer near the hotel I'll be expensing in MIA because per IOC it'll be hours or ever if sequences get repaired and hotels get assigned. Have myself listed positive space back to base tomorrow, but we shall see how it pans out....2nd time this month I've gone into an off day due to one issue or another. Talked to a friend who knows people and apparently DFW is actively diverting everything encountered because the biggest airport in the country by land area (at least I think it is) is literally out of space to stick airplanes...gates and pads alike.
it’s DEN now.because the biggest airport in the country by land area (at least I think it is) is literally out of space to stick airplanes...gates and pads alike.
I’ve double dipped premium 3 days in a row and haven’t touched an airplane. Sat at the airport all day long to see cancellation after cancellation. They tried to restart the operation too early.Safe to say it's us (AA). Yah that's close-enough to post the video.I’m almost hesitant to say it but our leadership handled this one pretty well from my soda-straw viewpoint.
"Wait DFW gets thunderstorms???"For an airline that's going be 100 in April, how come they act like it's their first day ever running an airline EVERY SINGLE TIME there's a weather event?
But within the next 24-36 hours, you'll get an email from some VP you've never heard of saying how great the whole situation was handled.
I'm about to head to FLL to try to get back to PHL somehow (4 airlines on the route). My DH out of MIA has out of position FAs assigned with no signs of it changing just like the flight I was working last night. GreAAt is what we're going for...I’ve double dipped premium 3 days in a row and haven’t touched an airplane. Sat at the airport all day long to see cancellation after cancellation. Ah. Obvious. Forgot about it somehow.it’s DEN now.
Easy slip up. It was DFW previous to that.Ah. Obvious. Forgot about it somehow.
Yup. My turn today is missing two FAs. Same story as the last 3 days. They wait until the last minute to cancel it. I think tracking is overwhelmed.I'm about to head to FLL to try to get back to PHL somehow (4 airlines on the route). Curious to find out why it got so aggressively bad on the FA side and not quite as bad on the pilot side...that MIA flight STILL has 2 FAs assigned to it that canceled elsewhere at 5 this morning and of course they're delaying it 10 minutes at a time.Yup.
