Who are these guys?

We are a flight school that has been doining advanced training since Feb 1999. We have trained several hundred ATP pilots, over 100 private pilots and commercial pilots. Although we are new to JetCareers, we have been around a long time.

We pride ourselves in using Professional Instructors, not pass thru time-builders. We are retired Air Force and/or Airline pilots who love to teach about our passion - aviation.

Our training packages include lodging and all fees. Great apartments in a college town. Our professional Pilot Package multi-engine time is all in an airplane, not 50 hours in a simulator like other schools. We fly you with an instructor, not another student. while you are time-building.

You will fly with the boss alot, and at least see him most every day.

You may contact me at carl@accessibleaviation.com or 662 574-9157.

Thats excellent you are VA approved, it was an absolute requirement when I did my training and I know there are alot of people looking for that.

Suggestion: post pictures of your fleet

Yes, Welcome to JC. One other thing I noticed when checking out your site was there was no location listed anywhere. I was able to decipher it by looking up the area code. Just a thought.

Also, when you click to this page: http://accessibleaviation.com/atpsyllabus.htm none of the links on the side work.

Welcome!

Carl,
Saw the pictures, fleet looks good and I am sure people appreciate it. Being a former full time CFI I am the first to say that whether your fleet is old katanas or G1000 skyhawks it makes no difference but the public loves instant gratification and photos.

I train at Accessible Aviation. I have nothing but great things to say about them. Great instructors, planes, airport location and don't forget the local approach control!

With 5 full-time Indian students, 2 C-172's, a handful of part-time students, and every one of the Instructors on the website with full-time jobs on the base (Columbus AFB) and only able to fly either after 5pm or fly with students around their normal on-base job.....I tip my hat for the aggressive business strategy to Carl.

The location of the airport is good due to the low volume of air traffic. The surrounding area is nice, but rural. There are not a whole of things to do around there but study, so that is also good. Brandon Enea, Jim Prouty and Dudley Bearden are 3 very awesome instructors. From these 3 men you will definitely learn how to fly. These 3 individuals will make you fly like it is instinctual. The aircraft are very good and are maintained.

However, do not bring your own outside materials to study from. Accessible Aviation only uses Jeppessen, which is not bad, but if you are having trouble learning from the Jeppessen and would like to try Sporty's or King...forget about it. It will wind up in the parking lot. So will your lunch if you happen to bring it in the classroom. :sarcasm:

I did some training with them for my ATP. Flew with Brandon... what an excellent guy to fly with. several thousand hours of CFI time and can fly and teach the crap out of the Seneca. Jim Pouty is just pure class.... but then he and I share some heritage in the 130 and even know a few of the same guys. A finer aviator you will not meet. Maintenance is excellent. ONLY downside was for dual instruction in my case at least it was all after 5pm...which wasnt all bad but slowed things down a bit. Overall, great guys and money well spent.

The schedule for the ATP and multi training depends on several factors. If someone is getting the ATP written with us, we tend to have them study in the AM, fly in the afternoon or evening. ATP fly only depends on what other training is going on. The last two ATPs I did all the training by noon. Initial Instrument and Commercial we try to start in the day time, but we really want to do Instrument and Commercial training day and night. WE want our students to be comfortable at night! Looks good for the airline interview also.

We added another Seneca, it has the same EHSI and Garmin as our original Seneca. Our total instructor cadre is 3 full time plus our Chief and Assistant Chief Flight Instructors. Are average student load is approximately 8 students, total for the school. Our goal is to concentrate on US Full Private thru Commercial Students. That is our forcast student make-up starting in June.

Carl

in carl's school there r like more than 10 full time students and ONLY ONE FULL TIME instructor. & that is also without MEI.

They may be strectched a bit thin on the Multi Engine side of the house, but the quality of instruction is top rate! I recently logged 40 hrs. in Carl's Seneca and the bulk of the cross country hours were at night with long day trips on the weekends. Trips included lots of Class C and B stuff and we flew as far as Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, Hiton Head S.C. (and of course Memphis, Bermingham, Tuscalusa etc..). These guys have tons of experience and you will learn alot in the airplane that the folks at ATP can't touch.

Now that they have the second twin, I imagine the pace of the multi training will pick up. They have a CFII that is about to get his Multi instructor ticket at which point they have three mutli instructors.

If you are looking for great training with housing give these guys a shot!
