Normal for this time of year at XJT.
What's relevant is attrition only hiring.
30 pilots/month = 4+ years to upgrade for someone hired right now without any additional growth. Just gives you some food for thought.

Plans for next year are 800 new pilots.
Attrition? Yeah..
Hehehe - the ONLY thing I'm putting in PBS next month is those days off. Anything else, I'll just accept!

They are planning on losing 800 pilots next year? Or do they think they will obtain a new codeshare with 40+ more aircraft?
Steve: You're already #6 FO?? Hell, I am too.......from the bottom!(actually, #8 from the bottom on the CRJ in DFW).
Won't be Eagle. (you know....the regional that's been called "crappy" by members on this site).
Very true. But that, my friend, is completely out of my control, so I do not sweat it.Unless, for some reason AMR decides to spin Eagle off just like CAL did to ExpressJet and Delta did to ASA.
Never say never I guess.
