Antisocial Monster
Heya guys,
I figured I'd post this into the forum instead of asking the doc directly, as I understand a lot of people are going onto SI's and might not be familiar with the process.
So to get everybody up to speed, the FAA performed an audit on my medical and decided that even though I had an unrestricted first class medical for nearly a decade, I now needed to be on a special issuance.
I went back to my AME with the letter from the FAA authorizing the special issuance, passed the medical with flying colors and walked out the door with a new medical from my new AME.
A few weeks later, the FAA sends me a NEW SI letter and a NEW medical with an FAA doc's name on it, but doesn't mention a thing about the medical that the AME issued.
So now I've got two SI letters, and two medicals; which one do I use?
