Where in the world is rausda27 ???

Re: Where in the world is rauda27 ???

Are you in KBP next month sometime? I've got a 48 in AUG.
I'm leaving probably the first week of August, and don't come back until September. When are you going to be there? I will make sure you have a good tour guide!

Re: Where in the world is rauda27 ???

Joe, thanks for meeting up with us last night. That was fun. Once again, it was a pleasure meeting up with a long time JC member.

Re: Where in the world is rauda27 ???

Second week I think, lemme check...

Re: Where in the world is rauda27 ???

# 5 gets even harder. I will include 2 shots, one of the unusual terminal and one looking down the taxiway.

Re: Where in the world is rauda27 ???

These are tough for me, but did anyone else notice he spelled his own name wrong in the title?

Yeah, here we ended up diverting due to heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail, squall line, and +30 M/S gusts (read: 60 Knot gusts) arriving in Kiev. Spent a couple of hours in Odessa, Ukraine, then got home at about 0100. You get sunny weather...:dunno:

Hey Dough, when are you coming to KBP?

Nice is correct. OK, looking at my schedule today should provide some challenges. Would you guys prefer to keep it airport related or some surrounding shots of the cities I am visiting? Sorry for the picture quality, its a blackberry.

Doug, care to correct the thread title? I apparently missed an "s" in my username.

Stone Cold, we actually were lucky to get to Geneva yesterday. Nice was perfect, wx in GVA was forcast to be the same. 10 minutes after departure we get slowed enroute to Geneva. First 250, then 180 and within 40 miles minimum clean speed (170). GVA was lading 23 with tailwinds gusting to 22 knots. We advised we couldnt accept 23 and would hold until 5 was available. There were guys accepting the ILS 23, which amazed me. Anyway, flew through a couple nice little rain showers, washed the plane and got the ILS 5 20 minutes later. All in all a good flight. Sorry about Kiev dude.;)

No takers on # 6? Doug you should be familiar, its a DL city. LIPZ, Venice Italy.

Stone_Cold or FSIFlyer may be familiar with # 7.

OK, I think all the interest fizzled on this thread. The last picture was Tivat Montenegro. I have a bunch more cities to visit this week, but dont think I will upload. I guess there arent enough JC'ers on this side of the pond...

Thanks for playing...

We do have a 'no pouting' rule here you know! Well, if we don't we sure should!

:D

Not pouting, just if there are airports no has a clue about, kind of puts a damper on the game. I can post a few pics of places I have seen this week instead.

For Example...For the past day or so I have been in Athens, Greece.

Tivat has a nice offset LOC approach on 32(?). Was there once, two years ago. Did you get to spend some time in the area or did you just drop off your passengers and went?

Here is a picture of Venice, the Alps (snow in July) and the mountains leaving Serbia.

We spent about 3 hours there. We did an interesting arrival, TAZ 1A I believe to the LOC 32. Very interesting approach with the mountains off the right side.

Man, I wouldn't have been yanking your chain if I had known you'd be giving me a check ride a month later. :D

Have I already given you the checkride? If not, you better introduce yourself to me :)

Hmm, I just gave a checkride to 2 guys from GRR yesterday....

SteveC, ah it makes sense now. So tell me, did you know who I was before the checkride or did it dawn on you after?
