Where exactly can a dispatcher work?

I intend to make the very best of it, Im counting myself lucky for the opportunity. Im a 'bright side'sort of person, and was trying to side step the nay sayers that would try and 'warn me'.

Today I got an offer from Mesa, which I'm accepting. :bounce: I know it's not for everyone, but it appears to fit the bill for me.

I had a friend that worked at Etihad for a while in the UAE. He said they seemed to be moving more towards hiring people from India and Indonesia than from the US while he was there. Also he had trouble finding any new job opportunities while he was overseas - nobody from the US seemed interested in interviewing him, even though hew worked for an airline and could fly anywhere he wanted to go. He came back to the US after spending a bit over three years there and found a new job pretty quickly after returning - it was good experience and the money was good (and tax free) but there were some negatives also.

Down in MIA, you have World Atlantic Airlines & Falcon Air Express. World Atlantic has a lucrative contract with ICE Repatriate flights out of AEX. Falcon Air Express picked up the USMS contract that RIA had when they went under. They may require a extensive clearance for that one, so you don't go Cyrus the Virus over them. Also there you have Amerijet, Centurion Air Cargo, etc.

We are actually in SRQ, but Global Ops Center/Western Global Airlines is an option (121 Supplemental Cargo).

There is another start up in MCO I think, called Orange, and they are still in the certification process.

Thanks y'all! I've always wanted to move to the sunshine state. I just recently had family move down there and that has added some incentive. I'm definitely not ruling any job out but I would love to stay in the southeast in the long run.
 
I just applied but the opening says they require experience. I guess I'll see if anything else on my resume can make up for that.
