What's up with 9e

And then there are a couple more lease returns showing up on FT for CWA... yay... oh wait...

I may have missed your sarcasm, but the lease returns from ftweb in ALB and CWA are Saabs, not Q400s. Probably the Airways or older United stuff, maybe even some of the Mesaba DAL ones that have just been sitting around for months.

At least 2 of the lease returns in ALB are Q's. This is confirmed.

Here's a screen shot of the ftweb i was looking at

*not sure if posting ftweb screenshots would get me in trouble so i took it down

If you look at FTweb this morning, there are 4 planes on the mx side for ALB. 347, 345N, 346, and 242.

347 is listed as "must RON ALB / Paint ". According to the last list of tail/ship #'s posted on the crew site, we have neither a 347NG or ship 347. I'm assuming this is 347CJ, which as a former ALB pilot I know this is an Airways Saab.

345N I'm assuming is 345NG. Listed as "Must RON ALB" however, if you look further into it's schedule, it returns to service tomorrow to make up the 5:40a to IAD.

346 is just listed as "RON ALB" and makes up 4776 (US Airways) to Boston tomorrow at noon.

and 242 is listed as "LEASE RETURN" and is definitely not a Q.

Not saying your source or yourself are wrong, just saying that right now the only public information that points to Q's being returned is message board hearsay and crew room gossip.

Hmm.. Interesting. Perhaps user (mx) input error or a terrible April Fool's joke? I can't see Colgan/Pncl management deciding that these planes are destined to be returned to original condition, take them out of service and schedule them to be flown to ALB, then immediately decide covering a scheduled flight that won't matter in a few days is more important?

But then again, there I go using logic again.

I won't give up my source, but I was told that they are being reconfigured for return. Doesn't mean they will be out of service the entire time but they are on a program to be reconfigured for return. It also doesn't mean it is actually going to happen in my opinion, just that it is the direction they are preparing to go. Things can change at anytime of course.

Sorry that I didn't specify but yes they are Saabs...

except for these two which are Q's

I heard from a pilot who heard for another who was told by the maintenance guys in IAD that the Maintenance crews were told to expect 15 Qs to be based in IAD...

Perhaps we are returning two Qs, and the rest will be moved from EWR to IAD as part of a restructuring of the deal with United....

hmmm... Lets all discuss this till we are blue in the face... or lets wait till tomorrow and see what happens when the crap hits the fan....

No, its much more fun to speculate till we are blue in the face

gotta love all this rumint. i checked those tail numbers this am. if i remember correctly, it was ship 823, 833 and 33ng. there was a q parked over by the kalitta aircraft this morning. Not sure if it was just moved for gate space or whatever. i couldnt see the tail number. dipscratch hit me via acars this am and said they heard six more by the end of the month. but all said and done, all of these rumors are about as solid as my ncaa brackets or lotto picks. time will tell i suppose. as long as i still sign for a plane that can get me home, ill keep pluggin away. ymmv

Somebody has a sick idea as far as APR 1 goes... but, handed me this (Def. Not real) claimed the "found it" in the printer late night.

right...

anyways, here it is, don't believe it or the rumors it may cause.

right. I wish people would just let it go... heard everything from " EWR RCP said - 800 furlough out of sen. " to I saw so and so in the crew room inspecting the operation.... etc.

It gets old, and becomes a significant distraction to the guys that im trying run through IOE.
