What's This Guys Problem?

Re: What\'s This Guys Problem?

I don't see what all the trouble is. Chocks are easy to jump with a King Air if they're only on the nose wheel.

Re: What\'s This Guys Problem?

Isn't it the pilot's responsibility to do a walk-around before he gets in the airplane?? He should have removed the chocks himself or signaled for the line guy to do it before starting the engines. As a line guy myself, I would be hesitant to go in there and remove them. King Air props are pretty close to that front wheel.

Yeah I wish I had a dollar for everytime a lineman has PUT THE CHOCKS BACK after I have kicked them away in the walkaround. I swear some of them are Chock Nazis.

A superior? I'd watch that statement if I were you. I was junior to lots of Rampers at most airlines.

My friend Chris is a B717 captain with Airtran. He started on the ramp at KORL.

I can't wait to go back myself, I've only been there the one time. Next time I want to plan on staying the night out there. Have a little fun in town
