I got to take my wife flying, her first time in an aircraft of any type. Thankfully she loved it. We also "went to Denver".

Got lazy, let a student get into an inadvertent spin, could not recover, smelled the sweet garlic of Gilroy as we rotated about the hellical axis, wondered how it was going to feel as I hit the freshly plowed field, still wet from the afternoon rain and magically recovered and was able to roll "right side up" about 1000' AGL.
