No, I doubt that was the reason why I left, I said it nearly five times already why I decided to leave. Seems like your reading skills are not too good. That's fine, I'll excuse that.
Blu-zoo... whatever it is... so, let me get this right. Your saying that all the instructors at Paris went to Gods gift to aviation training, FSA, and couldn't "cut it"? My instructor just moved down from New York. Sounds like another misleading statement. Typical. Do you perhaps work in marketing as well?

I didn't say FlightSafety was 'God's gift' to aviation.

There are/were several that couldn't make it through our CFI program and instead went to Paris to instruct. That's a fact. Where your instructor came from I don't know because I don't have ESP.

I think this thread really needs to be closed, useless banter has ensued.
 
Students at FSA come here to train on a continual basis. It should not matter when the schedule comes out. You come here to learn to fly, not for vacation.
 
Those that can't cut it go to Paris? I'm sorry I am confused, so FSA is now freakin Top Gun? Good grief get over yourselves. FlightSafety is a civilian flight school, the only requirement for admission is if you can pay for it. These cheap shots drag everyone down. I got my CIME and CFI at FSA, it was not that difficult. This industry is a matter of luck and timing, that guy that "could'nt cut it" that went to Paris could blow you away career wise, you just don't know. If you think you are better because you went to FSA you have your head up your a#$ Maybe they don't want to pay $339 an hour for a seminole. Easy Maverick, the carrier will wait. What a joke. I think the marketing dept. would love to have some of you idiots working for them.
 
I wouldn't call Paris the trash of FSA, but we all know some of them, and some of them are less than stellar. That being said, FSA had/has some less than stellar people too.

Some people like FSA, some people like Paris Air, some people like the little tiny FBO deal, noone MADE you go to any of the above.

It sucks that it didn't work out for you, but pricewise you knew what you were getting into, FSA doesn't hide the fact that it is expensive. They don't advertise GREAT DEALS, or guarenteed pricing. At least not that I have seen.

Alot of times people never mention the good things, only the bad. And it seems the object of money is always thrown around here.

You know what I did when I had a checkride wait? I did tailwheel training, and that led me to meet a guy who owned an Extra 300L, and then I did some aerobatic and spin training. Its just about being proactive, sometimes you have to make the best out of what happens.

At any rate, stop the bashing on either school.
 
I don't think this thread needs to be closed or locked. You're the second one that has said that. Why? I think it should give some in site to potential students as to how things are run at FSA. I don't think any thread for any school should be closed. That's like dismissing some ones experience, positive or negative. I'm sure there are plenty of positive threads under the FlightSafety heading. Just so happens this one seems to be getting the most attention.:D

I agree, that you are not in flight school to be on vacation by any means. But what happened to having fun while flying? Everyone looks like a robot. There's not too much camaraderie there.

Yeah, any snow up there Crockrocket? It's been cold down here (mid to high 40's in the early mornings) but probably not anything close to what you're seeing!!
 
What is the problem with parents paying for flight training?

is it so wrong not being in depth at 25?

Credit System is just an other Capitalism bs.

Came to the us with no credit history, couldn't even get a cell phone...when well I paid all the flight training up front out of my pockets, does that make any sense?

If you want fun while flying, try coming in prepared everyday, and take responsibility for your training. It's amazing how much "fun" flying can be when your instructor doesn't have to repeat themselves day after day on the same issues. It's also amazing how much cheaper it is when it doesn't take 4 attempts to get through a 1.5 hour lesson...

As for the camaraderie, give me a break! There are plenty of friendships, joking, good times, etc. that go on there, it's just they don't come find you. Any place you go is what you make of it. There isn't a welcome committee so we can all bust out with a guitar, sitting around holding hands and singing songs just to make you feel part of the group.

In regards to saying that this thread doesn't need to be closed, why not? You hated your experience here, we know. Now we've all bashed you about taking 6 months to get through Step II, made fun of you for your Mom paying for your training, and they are non-stop getting on you about spell check. At this point, I would think YOU would want it to be over. This thread isn't giving people the opportunity to hear a bad story about FSA. It's just giving you something to keep reading while you have your cookies and milk that Mommy put out for you after your big tough day at flying school.

Nwebie08, I'm not quite sure if you slightly retarded are just a ***k up. Apparently something is definitely wrong with your mind. You just don't seem to be a stable minded individual. Not quite sure where you are getting your information. Maybe you fathom up these stories in that little head of yours. But where did you hear anything about four attempts on a 1.5 lesson? Also, I wouldn't and did not say that I "hated my experience" simply unsatisfied. Now, if you're trying to impress someone on here with that ridicules mouth of yours it's not working. Trust me.:banghead:

I sense a little bitterness because your family isn't helping you out financially. Sorry that you're not fortunate enough to have a family that is there to assist you and make sure you're focused on training, not your 100K+ loan. So, please, if you want to continue "bashing", by all means go right ahead, your lame and cheesy remarks make me chuckle. Like you said, while I'm at home having a glass of milk and cookies just remember one thing my friend. You will be the one paying $100K for the rest of your life while I move on happily, care free, and debt free. If you have anything else to say that sounds absolutely idiotic, don't hold back. Were all watching and waiting eagerly for your next post. Just for the record, not "flaunting".
 
If you guys would stick to conversations about the school - pro or con, this thread could have stayed open. We don't have a problem with honest evaluations and rebuttals when presented professionally.

On the other hand, all the personal attacks = closed thread.

Please try to keep future threads and posts on a more professional level - both sides.
