I was getting $200 a day plus per diem 9 years ago flying a Navajo.
I have to wonder, are airline guys overpaid?
That's a non starter. Its good you found that out now. Good luck in your search.. Plus, he wants a full time commitment with part time pay.
Thanks for the advice. I flew with the guy yesterday and it is not for me. Not enough pay for a 2 hour drive. Plus, he wants a full time commitment with part time pay. I told him, if its part time, than I want hard days on and off, so I can work another job. And he said that I did not get paid while I was at training. Not cool in my book at all. Coupled with a few other things, its just not the right spot for me.
Itchy said:That sucks. He will find someone too. And that's too bad.

Sorry for not noticing this before, but why do you think I commute 5000+ miles to work and spend 30 days on the road? It's not because I enjoy torturing myself. Right now, I actually make money, am home more than when I flew in the US for peanuts, and am not bringing the market down to feed my family. It is depressing to see what the US market has become...I must say this thread kind of depresses me. When I pick up open time at a commuter I don't get out of bed for under $800/day, generally get $1000, and have hit $1500 on occasion unless it's a 4-day stretch, then roughly $750/day. I cannot believe a King Air PIC is only getting $300-$400 per day on contract (not salary), and chances are they have to do a lot more than I do, in that I just show up and punch in the flight plan that dispatch files. I have to wonder, are airline guys overpaid?
