What were you doing in September 2003?

Left would probably be better as far as position of instruments, etc., but do you guys just get so used to reading the instruments right seat during dual sessions that you just feel more at home there?

When I do scenic flights and stuff, I still fly left seat, unless its a hot chick, or someone cool...then I let them sit in the left seat.

I'll bite; September 2003 I was just starting my Freshman year in college. Wasn't a pilot, had no plans on being one.

Funny how things work out.
 
I was not on JC, was not a pilot, and couldn't even walk without assistance. I still had one knee scope and another operation to remove plates and screws to go a few days before thanksgiving.

3. Flying for the same airline for which I now fly. But it was in a different aircraft and a different seat because we were all impacted by 9/11.
 
9/11/03

I was in my first month of my sophomore year of college. I had my private pilot certificate at the time, and I had about 50 hours in the logbook.

And yes, I was also on JC. I see my user thing shows I signed up in July 2003, but I was on the 'old' site prior to that; I was most definitely signed up for something because I remember getting the Jetcareers newsletters when that was going on and the 9/11/01 newsletter in particular. Ha...all I remember about the old format was that it had a lot of grey and yellow and the really old one had webmaster standing on the steps of a blue "19-hondy."

I was in Okinawa probably golfing or diving and packing up for a 2 week deployment to Eielson AFB that started 2 days later.

1) No, hadn't heard of JC yet.
2) Yes.
3) KC-135 copilot and unit deployment manager for the 909ARS.

-Didn't know about JC quite yet, but found this place shortly after and lurked for a really long time.
-My job was to be one of those smart mouth young teens :bandit:

Were you here at JC? Nope. Hadn't had the good fortune of stumbling upon the site yet.

Were you a pilot? Yup...same ratings I have now...just not mature enough to know I wanted it as a career.

What was your job? At 25, I was a Missile Technician on the Gold crew of the USS Nevada and steamed 30,000 miles in just over 300 days.
