What was your ATP admissions interview like?

We turned down one in ATL.. but.. he was clearly not airline pilot material..
So they wouldn't accept someone like myself who is not really airline material, who is 50, looking to get all his ratings and instruct build hours and say be a freight dog and go this route to do it? I'm not airline material, but I could certainly handle the training (I do have my instrument already).

Eh, with you, the case is a lil' different..

This guy had tattoo's on his face, neck, forearms, "H A T E" across his nuckles, streched earlobes, etc. and had aspirations of FedEx, UPS or Southwest he.. "wasn't sure" yet..

I seriously thought it was a joke...

He simply would have never made it without serious surgery..

In a year of doing interviews (maybe 20-30 total) I outright told admin that 2 would never work and strongly didn't recommend 1. It is very apparent if someone isn't going to work in the program. And "airline material" isn't the right term. Motivated is a better one.

I have also seen people asked to leave the program after completing either their PMEL or their instrument. It's just not for everybody.

I'll never forgive you for crushing my dreams, Tram!!!
