Thanks everyone for the great info... had my first IFE today -
172 upwind after t/o. 500 agl power loss, made the turn, did a 20 knot tailwind landing opposite runway. Drifted 4,000 feet (6601' runway) before setting down. Had to screech tired to destroy the motion.
Unwinding now. Don't really feel like making a new thread about it.
