What should I do?

I will be entering UND this Fall as a Sophomore (almost a Junior short of 3 classes or so) as an Aviation Mgt major. My flight training costs this semester are estimated at $7169. Should I hold off in Spring 2005 on my Instrument and get it done in the summer?

Second question: I hope I can graduate in 2 and a half years. Should I be able to get my Instrument, Commercial, Multi, CFI, CFII, and MEI in that time frame?

Well here is a best case scenerio

102-Fall
221-Spring 2005
222-Summer First Session
323-Summer Second Session
325-Fall 2005
414-Spring 2006
415-Summer 1st Session 2006
416-Summer 2nd Session 2006 (not sure if they offer this then, but they might)

Realisticially, you won't be able to do this. Something always interupts training whether that be failed stage checks, financial aid, UND run around, etc. If you do what I said above, I would start with 221 in the spring, otherwise that would put you in the Initial CFI class in the summer (ie. that blows).

Good luck and when you going to be here.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to be there August 8th.

Can I postpone my instrument until the summer of 2005? How will I be able to keep flying throughout the Spring semester of 2005?

Well 221 is like a beefed up private again with some instrument stuff. But 222 is the approaches and IFR x-countries. You can do whatever you want when you want to take the classes, and if you want to fly some in the spring, don't finish 102 in the fall, or do the tailwheel or aerobatic course.
