What does this mean? (JetBlue)

FROM JET BLUE:

JetBlue will undergo one of the largest changes in our airline's history. We will be changing Passenger Service Systems from Navitaire to Sabre. To support the transition to our new system, we will need to place an embargo on all interline non-revenue travel for 3 weeks from January


This doesn't include jumpseating, correct?
 
From what I understand,....yes....anyone who doesn't work for Jetblue or is not traveling on passes from Jetblue will need to find a new ride for 3 weeks

Correct.

No jumpseaters.

This is the pretty much the way the jetBlue guys in my crashpad explained it to us.
 
While they are in the process of switching to sabre, they will not have their trained and approved means of CASS verification. I don't see why this would preclude a cabin jumpseat though.
 
FYI, I found out some more information regarding the jetBlue computer system change.

According to a friend at jetBlue, they put out a memo today stating that the dates that jumpseaters cannot fly are only 1/30, 1/31, and 2/1. Non-rev flying for buddy passes, parents, etc, will not be allowed between 1/28 to 2/20 as well as ID90s. If your airline is on a jumpseat agreement (ie Flight Attendants of other airlines) or are CASS approved, the only dates you will be affected are 1/30, 1/31, and 2/1. jetBlue crewmembers commuting to and from work on those 3 days will be positive-spaced.

You are correct Jace...I'm a JetBlue pilot.
 
They are positive spacing their crews to work because the system is going to be all messed up.

Being ALPA or NONALPA has NOTHING to do with it. They are doing it so their operation doesn't melt down because folks are having trouble getting to work.

JetBlue management takes care of their pilots because management's egos are so fragile that they can't stand the possibility of ALPA getting on property. Nothing damages a manager's ego more than having to deal with a competent union.
