I thing a good cfi has to have the patience to teach people. Don't get angry if the student takes too long tiolearn a particular task or makes a mistake. Everyone learns at a different pace and levels. The student/instructor relationship has to be purely on a proffessional level. A good cfi will let the student fly with another instructor for a lesson ot two. There might be something that was missed during the learning process. It's usually good for students who are having a difficult time on a particular proceadure or manuever. A good cfi also has to be a motivator and be able to give praise when praise is due. A good cfi also has to be vigilant. THe cfi has to make sure the lesson and flight is conducted thoroughly and safely.
