Hi everyone, I would like to start off by saying that i love aviation. I have dreamed about becoming a pilot for a long time. Finally in july of 04 i received my PPL. Unfortunately, I have not had the time or money to fly too much because I am a student at a local university. My original plan was to get a degree and head down to ATP or Ari for a fast pace program. However, after reading all the posts about how bad the airlines are doing, I just dont know if I want to get into aviation especially if it means taking out a 50000 dollar loan. So... I am pursuing a degree in some sort of business field. I originally wanted to be a mechanical engineering major but i was never really good at math or science. So my question is... and it really has nothing to do with aviation... but I would like to know if anyone has found a good job with a degree in business. My uncle (who is an engineer) said he knows of many people who end up in retail stores after getting a business degree. Not that that is bad but after 4 years of college i would like to find a better job than that. I am trying to keep my GPA up and its at a 3.6 right now. Thanks for any comments and I know this is an aviation forum but I have tried other forums with little response and I know everyone here is pretty good about putting in their insight. I am not completely ruling out aviation but at this point i dont know if it will happen. Also, I am thinking about taking math at a local comminity college right now where it is easier and maybe pursuing engineering after my business degree. Thanks again.
