I just spent the last four days getting all sorts of strange routes and vectors around Denver. They were routing us clear to Rock Springs from the north, taking us down to the Thompson arrival from the north, vectoring us clear south on an upwind to the 16's, then back north, then onto final. We had 15 mile spacing on the arrival. This morning I was told to slow while we were still over Jackson Hole. Things are not running as normal. I heard many pilots complaining or questioning how things were going and the answers all pointed to some sort of staffing issue at DEN center. Is this the controllers twisting management's tail or vice versa?
