What is acceptable hearing loss?

Five years ago I ruptured my eardrum. I had two surgeries to try and repair the small hole in my eardrum, however neither surgery was able to correct the problem. As a result I have lost some hearing in my left ear. The loss of hearing is not noticeable but my ENT did record the loss of "low tones" in that ear.

How much hearing loss is still passable on an ATC medical?

I assume this is for an initial appointment.

No hearing loss of more than 25 db in either ear at 500, 1000, 2000 Hz and must demonstrate a loss of no more than 20 db in the better ear. Loss in either ear of 40 db may require an otologic consultation.
