What have you seen from "up there"

Yep, that's it! Very impressive facility...

And of course it was Ohio, now that I think about it. I was flying from Pennsylvania to Illinois that day and all the states sort of blended together in my memory.

That's Honda's facility I believe.

My greatest view has been flying the dragon corridor over the Grand Canyon. I used to think it was just a big hole in the ground until I saw it from the air.

Landing at LaGuardia can give you a great view of Manhattan too.

I saw a HUGE house fire two weeks ago during my BFR. We saw it in the distance and after some vectoring and altitude changes from the CFI while I was under the hood, he told me to look out the left side and we had a great view of it.

Whatever the last big comet was in the last 10-15 years (Hale-Bopp? Halley's?) I was on an AA flight coming back to DFW from LAX. I'd gotten an upgrade to 1st class on a brand new 767. The CA got us up to (I think - I could be wrong) FL410 so we could see this thing in the sky. It was huge and so very bright. Really amazing from up there.

This is kind of an old topic but I'll always remember this flight. I was flying from Newark to London pre-9/11. During the flight, the Captain came back and got me as I had been talking to him before the flight. He let me come up to the flight deck of the 777 right as we approached the coast of Scotland as the sun was rising. It was a beautiful sight as well as a moment I'll never forget. I can only imagine what the rest of the passengers were thinking when they saw the pilot wandering around the airplane over the Atlantic.

Fireworks on July 4th at about 9PM on the arrival into houston.

You're flying at about 4000 ft or less for a good 10 minutes....with the massive suburban sprawl and abundance of rednecks, it reminded of those nightvision videos of baghdad in 1991 during "desert shield" that you used to see on CNN. It was pretty impressive, to me anyway.
