You can really mess yourself up with that split door closing / arming handle.

I was tickled to learn that the door indication in the flight deck is triggered by the door flap. Haha.

I heard we had somebody who lost some fingers in that disaster of a contraption, and I can see myself doing the same thing.

The nosewheel steering has nothing on the doors in this thing.
I just did the Airplane General module and went "er, uh, okay" at that.

That's what I'm doing today to further my career - my CBTs - because there'll be no time, I say no time, for that later in the month...

used aopas online courses to study some jepp charts for some eventual interviews also tried not to be generally depressed about aviation.

Blehhhh cbt...

But it beats sitting in ground.

Picked up my interview suits and shirts from the dry cleaner. (Got my ties pressed, too). Shoes get some much needed work tomorrow.

I've been studying like a beast for my Private Pilot ASEL. I'm just getting back into training, so I've been reading all I can, which should help reduce training costs before I get back in the plane after 6 years. My goal is to trasfer into aviation as a career, and leave my current field of work. Luckily, with being a member of Jetcareers for some time now, I have a damn good idea of what I'm getting myself into.

*slam*

"Erm...the tiller sucks on this one! Yup! It's the tiller, not me!"

You want a bad tiller try driving a EMB-110 or a SF-340 both of those system really stink.

It's a good idea that's poorly implemented in my opinion. If you have a brain Boeing's way is just fine. Orange or Red Strap across the window tells the person outside DON'T TOUCH THE DOOR. SLIDE IS ARMED. no goofy handles involved. Boeing's door unsafe indicator on the door is actually a pin that must be pressed down by on of the locks as it rotates into the lock position in the door frame.
