What have you done to further your career today?

Scheduled myself with a ton of work everyday.
Updated the resume.
Gathered letters of recommendation and uploaded them to my job application.

Got myself one of these...

I feel old.

Didn't you just get there? (As if I'm anyone to talk)

Your career is pretty much the reason why I keep my options open at all times, because things can change, for better or worse, with or without prior notice.

And I mean that as a compliment; being flexible in this industry is of paramount importance, which is how you've navigated this industry so far, and that requires keeping the logbook and the applications up to date at all times.

Yeah.. I totally meant to do that.

(Seriously though, good for you. I am always mystified by the guys who miss window after window because "I haven't updated my logbook since 1994")

Tried to convince the boss that he didn't need to take malarone and use DEET. Not to worry, those don't look like mosquito bites. The water is fine to drink, don't worry about that cholera outbreak warning, and only slackers complain about Ebola.

Oh, and yeah, that really is a female, trust me, it just looks like "she" has an Adam's apple.

Updated all my apps/resume today.
I updated my apps.

The paper logbook, on the other hand, needs attention. I keep the e-book current, but the paper hasn't been updated in a year. Bother. Monthly totals...leg by leg would destroy my hand.

All my paperwork in order for Compass interview.

Waiting on a contact to complete a letters of rec for me at United. Continuing to network and keep in touch with all my aviation friends from over the years. Updating apps biweekly.

Studying a couple hours a day for my interview. Want to feel way over prepared.
