What do you not like about _____________ (airplane)?

Nark

Macho Superpilot
I have two:
1) The Texas Taildragger. For reason's unknown, I just don't like the way the front gear is aimed forward.

2) I fly a plane, which you can only "chop and drop" a few times before you end up replacing cylinders. There is only one route back to the main base, that I really have to think ahead and plan, otherwise I'll be chasing speeds the whole way down. Not fun, when you're hitting on a cute passenger the whole time.

My biggest bitch? The seats in the cherokee 6, the square wing, the 100lb baggage limitation, and the bajillion-position fuel selector.

After that, I'd say the crappy CG positioning of the 207, and some of its weird aerodynamic characteristics it exhibits at the aft CG limit. On the Caravan I dislike the lack of power, seriously, the thing weighs a couple thousand pounds more than a PA31 and has less horsepower? WTF over?

And one less engine.

Zing!!!

That doesn't particularly bother me much at this point, with around 2700hrs in singles if I hadn't gotten used to the idea that I could be a highly draggy lawn dart at a moments notice I'd be even more of a nervous wreck.

The PA-31-310 - Lack of power, gear speed, slow.

Though I kind of have a thing against Piper Paper Products.

Cessna RGs - Landing Gear System
PW-5 (Glider) - Tow release and canopy release are placed right next to each other, using the same plastic handles just painted a different color

I don't like pulling the props through on anything with a Garrett.. Not sure why, I just hate doing it..

PA31 manual gear pump. It's to short, and makes me tired using it. And the DA20. I don't know what it is, I just don't like it.

Any jet garbage made by Boeing.

The 172RG. Mainly the gear system to name one of many things.

The C-208. A hot day and you are back in a 172. The 600HP 114A is just underpowered. Oh and the fact it's a ice magnet.

+1
Boeing sucks!
That's un-American. Please wait quietly with your hands on your head for DHS.
Boeing pilots are real pilots! Airbus pilots are systems analysts!
:yeahthat:

Ah yes...for me, with respect to #2, it's the crankshaft and nosecase gears that will destroy themselves in short order if you reduce power below 15" at >140 knots...

I hate how I can't get comfortable in a 172 no matter how hard I try.

90% of the planes I fly. They have nosewheels. :D

But seriously, I don't really mind anything about any of the planes I fly. I just get in and do what it takes to get 'em in the air.

It lands AWFUL from the left seat . . . well, after eight hours of practice anyway. ;)

Really though, very few complaints about the EMB-175. The printer is goofy and there is a constant stream of DATALINK NO COMM on our ACARS unit. Overall they did a nice job with the airplane.

Reading some of these comments, I'm looking forward to springtime to fly GA. I plan to get current in a 172 again.

Alright, real post:

Embraer yoke. Could never get used to it. Hated it in a crosswind, resented it the rest of the time. :)

That damn 402 and its brakes. Might as well be from a 172. Why should a piston twin have an accel/stop distance of 5000+ feet on a warm day?
