What do I do?

This sounds like a great plan. It's what I would have done in college if I knew what I know now.

As far as ATC goes, the FAA is still hiring off the street, and they look for people with aviation experience. Even if you don't major in ATC, you still have a good chance of becoming a controller assuming the FAA keeps putting out PUBNATs.

Isn't the washout rate at the academy amongst those coming off the street very high? I heard it was around 80-90%.

How exactly would I go about buying a share in a plane? I guess because I am so new to aviation I just don't even know where to start. How much am I looking at for an older 172 or 152? and is it something where I would have to have money out of my pocket to pay for it?

If your actually interested, shoot me a PM.

I have access to a SR22G3 that we're thinking about splitting out. It's going to be much more expensive then the 172M tho...

One quick thing...the current catalog just waived 112 for ATC majors if you come in with a PPL. So it isn't quite as bad as it was.
