What did you wear to your AT SAT test?

I would suggest at the very least khakis and a nice polo or button up shirt (short sleeve would be fine). I just took the test yesterday and I couldn't believe how many people showed up with jeans or sweatpants and a tshirt. Out of roughly 15 of us, probably only 3 or 4 were dressed nicely. One was in a suit with tie, a little overdressed for the group, but I bet he made a nice impression.

While I don't disagree with the polo and khakis...(that's what I wore)...the test is proctored by a third-party group who is there ONLY to issue the test. They're not interested in what you're wearing. As I posted earlier in this thread...I chose to wear khakis and a polo because I like to dress for the career that I'm going in to...even if it's a third-party test. But show up in PJ's and a tank-top and bunny slippers if you want! :laff:

I didn't mean an impression on the proctors, I meant on the other testers -the people that are also trying to get the job. I know that the impression I got from the people in t's and jeans, or the people that were out in the lobby sleeping on the couches before the test and on the breaks really made a poor impression on me of who my possible classmates/co-workers might be. It just seems that for a job such as this where you need to be professional and alert you would want to play the part, even if it is "just a test".:panic:

I walked in there lookin straight gangsta [why am I talking like this?] and walked out with a 100 and an eventual PEPC invite...so I'm pretty sure my peers' impression during that test didn't count for crap. Just sayin

Did take it in Holtsville?
Because I sat on the same couches the day before you and I felt that I was dressed very respectfully, and so were the other people sitting on the couches an hour and a half before the test. The people who came in at 755 and lined up at the door like lunch was being served are who gave me a bad impression.

:hiya: Yea I should have scheduled it for the 30th. I just got this weird "Lazy, don't give a $#!t" attitude from some of the test takers on the 1st. They seemed like they just rolled out of bed and put whatever they had on the floor on their body and came out to take a test... like they were doing someone else a favor for being there.
