JUST TO INFORM YOU GUYS IF YOU ARE WORKING ON XMAS¶

WE WILL HAVE FOOD FOR YOU GUYS IN THE CREW ROOM¶

FOOD IS AVAILABLE FROM 9A-1800

THANK YOU AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Stale muffin and a freakin cup of Easy Mac.. What a slap in the face! I hate AMR!!!!!!! Would be better to give us nothing than have us not eat and show up to the airport expecting a decent christmas meal like we use to get.

Eagle used to put out a fairly nice spread on Thanksgiving, and the company Christmas party was always an absolute blast. Cost savings suck.

Delta didn't give us anything, but the Crowne Plaza in Manchester England gave us free breakfast on the 24th and 25th...It was great!

Pinnacle gave MSP crews $10 gift cards to TGIF. The DTW crews got breakfast in the morning (I got in at 1030a and it was all gone). THen they served a lunch/dinner at 1pm. (i left for my out and back and returned at 5pm to some leftover salad and rolls). But i heard the food was really good for the ones that were actually there to enjoy it.

If you happen to be in JFK-you got a coupon worth a few bucks in the employee cafeteria.

But if you were on the road- NO FOOD FOR YOU!

Goooo...Comair! They set up a spread for us down here in the GO. Lets see it was rubber chicken breasts in some sort of creme sauce, some rubbery ham slices, seasoned diced potatoes, corn, salad, rolls, and a choice of apple or cherry pie...at least that's what it resembled.:dunno: I guess they set it up with one of our crew hotels here in CVG. They're supossed to set up meals for crews where available at outstations, but I guess that's falling by the wayside.

Turkey sandwich, apple, pecan pie, and a candy cane.

You forgot the chips. Must have been in IAH...the same as thanksgiving, and coincidentally, every flight at "meal times."

In EWR they had chicken dinner + some pretty good Christmas cookies.

They saw all my JMP ADD pay in my pay register for Dec and said "No xmas meal for you..."

The Thanksgiving spread wasn't bad.

I get the impression the company just didn't give a crap for Christmas this year.

All I got was was a reflow into a 14 hour duty day with my cancellation pay being cancelled. Thanks Skywest!

A friend from SWA had a ham dinner (cold, but they got in really late) but it's the thought that counts, right? He said the dinner wasn't bad but the hotel is a B&B out in the middle of nowhere with no bar so it was a sober holiday with the crew eating their dinner in the "lobby".

We had a pretty good spread in SLC the year before I left.

I've been in NYC for the last three or four and I would not suggest leaving food unattended in the lounge for more than 40 seconds.

And it's not because the rampers will cycle through and nab all of the white meat either.

Ouch! Sounds like you guys should be reconsidering the ALPA vote.

(Not directed at you, Hootie, but).....How many times does a pilot group need to be kicked in the collective cajonés before they wake up and realize they need a CBA??? I'm hoping this is the year for your group.

MEM had turkey, dressing, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce. You were kinda hosed if you were a crew from DTW or MSP, though. Since the food was in a SIDA area, you needed to find an elusive member of management to escort you there and back.

Just a little thread creep, but about how long ago did the airlines stop serving real food for breakfast lunch and dinner?

I worked as a fueler back in the late seventies and the AA 727's would come in late at night and we would have a feast sitting in the cockpit making airplane noises and eating steak or whatever.

Good times!

2001-ish.

But the thing is when the airlines served food, people bitched and complained about it.

When they stopped serving food, people bitched and complained about it.

If they're going to bitch and complain, might as well reduce your overhead in the process! :)

I think I got turkey, some sort of bread, mash potatos and gravy, corns, brownie bricks, and drinks at good ole F terminal at PHL. free food is best food. ;)
