What can you log from a Level D sim?

Do you log it as PIC time or just sim time? Sorry first time for me and couldn't find if it was addressed elsewhere? I know I can log the landings, approaches.

So the only advantage of a level D above normal sims is you can log the landings????

that's ghey....

I log none of it......just doesn't seem like it's worth anything, IMO. Who really cares how much sim time you have or how many sim approaches and landings you've done. Of course, YMMV!

I do it to keep Logbook Pro from yelling at me on currency if I haven't done a hold or something. :) Plus, if you're close to upgrading but short on time, all that time spent in the Level D during initial training can mean the difference between upgrading in March or upgrading in April.

Fair enough.....guess there are some reasons to log sim time.

I figure, at least while I'm flying domestic 121, currency won't be an issue. Obviously, if I ever win the lottery and manage to get the coveted 'major' job...well, then it might be different for me.

EX-

Alot of 135 Operators fly multiple airframes and keeping night currency on that type can be somewhat of a challenge.

People get a night currency endorsement sticker but you can still log the approaches, landings, sim time, etc.
