What are your career plans?

I think we've done this one before already.. did you do a search before posting? :)

altho i have no problem with everyone starting it again....cuz the search function ain't all *that* ;)

Once I get my comercial I'll fly for my dad, doing scenics and instruction down in BHB. I'll ge my 1200+TT there and look at some 135 freight gigs, preferably one with turbine equipment such as Ameriflight and AirNet. My long term goal is probably FedEx, UPS, CAL and the other leagacies. I wold LOVE the international flying that SWA, JB and the other "hip airlines" dont offer.

I think I would also enjoy flying for a company such as AirServ that does relief work around the globe. The RJ pilot box is one that I would not mind leaving unchecked when I turn 60.

I hope to be flying airplanes for a living, making decent money, and living somewhere in Michigan, preferably kalamazoo. I'd rather be flying boxes for ups or a well-paying 135 freight company, but i'll fly corporate or charter too. I don't want to go anywhere NEAR an airline.

Have my PPL by the time i graduate high school. Get my ratings while i go to college. graduate. instruct. fly the (soon to be) buisness jet for my dad's buisness. regionals. airlines. woot. easier said than done.

I'd like to open a Airline Training Academy for student pilots interested in by-passing the unecassary training and going directly to the majors with 250TT.

Just kidding.

Get a job at a decent major, and have a small franchise or two.

Well, get my PPL and just have fun and build some hours flying around up here in Alaska. Taking in the sights, and when I am done with all my ratings, I would like to apply for one of my local airlines, and have fun and build a few more hours. Stay there for a few years, and hopefully apply and get a job at Alaska airlines.:)

Professional Lottery Winner!

Seriously, I think I will have fun flying for a little while longer but I can see myself giving it up due to the required lifestyle if things don't work out perfectly.

I would like to work for NCAR or NOAA someday... Weather, climate, cartography, photography. Something dealing with any of those fields would be fun for me.

get a job with Emirates cause Dubai will be on top of the world in 15-20 years.

but first get my ppl next summer. get 4yr degree and go to a flight academy. then start CFI when im ~23-25. (18 now)

Would like to get CFII, instructor for awhile in Okinawa or mainland, possibly open my own bar either here or in mainland as well

I don't care if I work for a major, fractional, or freight. I just want to work for a decent company and make enough money to travel the world(and pay bills of course). I would love to fly internationally.....in a big-shiny-jet. I think UPS, FedEx, and SW sound good, but who knows what the future holds for these companies. Maybe work for a foreign carrier and move abroad. I would love to live in Japan.

Pretty much what everyone else has said. CFI then find a airline/charter/etc job somewhere. It'd be really cool if I could use my engineering degree to get a test pilot job. It'd also be awesome if someday when space flights become a somewhat regular thing (Not like star wars, but like Space Ship One) to get a job with Virgin Galactic and etc.
