What Apps are you using on your Apple device?

Spurred on by all the Apple threads I've seen recently... I figured this might be a good one. What Apps are you using on your Apple devices and how would you rate them? These can be aviation related or otherwise (I will include a couple games I like when sitting around the FBO killing time).

Aviation-related:
*ForeFlight (duh)

*Pilot Time

*My Radar (Free)

*Hold Trainer (Great tool for teaching holds to students and also for refreshing on them once in a while)

*Converter (Good app if you have to convert currency, metric to standard, etc... I use it because one of the aircraft I fly has the POH written using European measurements... It helps to double check calculations with this)

*LiveATC (Mostly a time-killer while sitting around but it can be good for listening to what the other aircraft are doing about weather close to your airport if you are about to depart etc... I also like to use it in conjunction with a couple games from time to time. It adds a dose of realism to have it play in the background and it can also help you train students to listen to and follow ATC instructions with a game like X-Plane... Just listen pick a tail number from time to time and have the student follow the instructions given while looking at the six-pack.)

*Flashlight (This has been a life-saver in the cockpit at times)

*Aviation Wx (Pretty good but the information has been several minutes delayed behind the information found online at times)

*FltPlan.com (Just got this App yesterday but it seems pretty useful... And its free!)

Other Apps:
*F-18 Carrier Landing (Great time-killer and fun to practice landings on a carrier)

*Medal of Gunner (Arcade-style gunnery game where you take to the different positions of a B-17 bomber over the skies of Europe)

*The Simpsons Tapped Out (Seriously addicting... Reminds me of the old Sim City games a bit)

*Instagram (To show your friends how cool/not cool your job can be)

*Netflix (If you have a Netflix subscription... This is a must-have)

*Waze (A cool GPS App that gives you traffic alerts etc... Worth a try but I honestly only got it until Google Maps was released and now I use that way more)

*Photosynth (A cool panorama app)

How about you guys?

F-Sim Shuttle (Game)
True Skate (Game, and should know basics of skateboarding :bounce:)

Pandora (Music)

Rhaposody (Music)

Camera + to add some flare to photos

Happy Holidays

Aeroweather. - A must have

Foursquare - I mainly use it to see what people say about a certain place. Its like yelp but not massive essays describing a place.

Remote - Control my music from my phone. Works with itunes

Starbucks - no need to carry stupid gift cards around, they can scan your phone instead.

And BikeRace. its really addicting.

Is foreflight really worth the $70 a year? From what I gather Duats and fltplan have all the same features just with a less snazzy interface.

Infinite Flight (game). Well worth the $5. Best on an iPad but still way fun on the phone.

Hill Climb Racing. Fun time killer. Save your coins until you can afford the monster truck and then upgrade it. That won't take too long.

I know fltplan does. I always wondered why so many people hyped up foreflight so much when the same thing is available for free with the fltplan app.
So...what's the catch? Producing and supporting an app like that ain't free. And to be honest I didn't know fltplan HAD an app, so how long has it been around?

The fltplan app wasn't really that great until recently. I would say it's been around for about a year and a half but I'm not completely sure. As with most of the free apps, the fltplan app may not seem as polished in comparison to say a foreflight app. I've been pretty happy with it although at times updating the charts made me want to pull my hair out but they've made that a lot better recently. The foreflight strengths are making a nice smooth app with everything all in one app. That's not just charts, but flight planning tools. The fltplan app lacks that an for planning kicks you out to the external website. I don't mind that and don't feel spending $70 on the software would be worth it for just the charts.

Roger that. For me, the functionality of foreflight is worth the money and they just keep making it better. To be honest I don't use the flight planning much (I go to the same 6 airports every day, I think I know how much gas and time it takes) but the use of it as a backup GPS and for charts, plus overlays of stuff like PIREPs and AIR/SIGMETS, all with a super intuitive interface is worth it. I may try fltplan though jus to see if it would be worth not renewing next year.

-Skype - so the wife can bug me
-log ten pro - yet another version of my logbook
- HSTouchPad - so I can turn lights off and on in the house on the road and scare the heck out of the family
- roomie remote - never know when you might want to turn the home stereo on from 1000 miles away (note: wife does not think its as funny as I do at 3am when I'm not home)
-Cam Viewer......no not that kind......so I can check the home security cameras
