Transavia PL-12 Airtruk. I knew what it was right away, but it took me a minute to remember the name.

That mess in my avatar had been in my family longer than I had when the tiedowns broke last year. 55kt winds can really mess up a 150.

Man, I would put that right up there with the death of my dog :( Did insurance cover it?

Fortunately insurance did cover it. We got this one withing a month.

Cool post, thx.

Looking at that is a lot like trying to talk yourself into a date with a a woman you respect but really don't want to go out with.
:dunno:

In the non-Ag version apparently there was a cabin for four people. Useful load according to a few sources was around 2,000 lbs.

It's predecessor was a little bit weirder looking.

Cue Waco extolling the virtues of radials to flat sixes and OA talking about his Beaver. :D

Form follows function. And one wonders if a Russian had a hand in this one with those green wheel caps although they are a bit brighter than the usual Russian green.

But this airplane is at the other end of the usual scale with a swagger required at both extremes.. like an F-22 guy and then the guy flying this thing. "YOU FLY THAT??? WOW!" Both evoke a certain awe.
