I am glad that despite all the security concerns these day, kids like him can still get to have experiences like this. The Make-A-Wish foundation is really cool.

That was a cool video. They started on the ramp at KRNT, I recognized the background. Remember, this was a delivery flight and could never happen on a revenue trip because of security concerns, which is too bad. I remember in the late 80's I took a buddy along in the jumpseat when I was flying Convairs on night mail runs between LAX and LAS. He actually feel asleep on the second leg....loser. Anyhow, if this kid made it over to Spokane, I'd take him up in my Luscombe that I can't land very well yet. Bet that would be more exciting than a 737-800 jumpseat ride.....

To me? Yeah.

To a 13 year old kid? I doubt it!

Very cool that he was able to do that! The Make-A-Wish foundation does some seriously awesome stuff.

Kudos to Alaska for making that work. That is awsome that the Make a Wish Foundation made that happen. A ferry flight operates under a different opeating code, i think Part 91. So therefore he could do it legally. Also I think the flight crew that they picked for that flight made his experience that much better. Im assuming that was probably a pretty senior CPT at Alaska.
