Wha'sup with Oshkosh Corporation?

Anybody have the inside scoop on Oshkosh Corporation's aviation situation? I have applied there
many times, live relatively close by and if I send my online app in in the morning, by early afternoon I am
rejected. If I send it in the evening, my rejection is waiting for me the next morning. And yet they continue
to advertise heavily. A colleague of mine also applied and we're both well qualified for the positions
for which we apply but yet, nadda.

About 5 years ago I emailed their aviation manager and he wrote me bac a very nice note indicating
that they had just hired a guy but (he said) I was the kind of individual they liked to see in their department.
But he's no longer there and I guess he was let go; so...

Is Oshkosh one of those outfits that only have a guy in mind and then waste every one else's time
with EEOC advertisements?

Lots of job ads are recycled so maybe that's the reason. Maybe give them a call to ask if they are actually hiring? Is there a requirement they list that you do not meet?

Sometimes companies already have someone in mind when they have openings. They usually still put out the obligatory job posting to show that they are an equal opportunity employer.
