In the second picture on the left side underneath the bridge you can see a small red lighthouse. That red light house was built before the bridge. It makes sense if you look at the land as it sticks out in that spot.

That was one of my favorite books when I was a little kid.

My wife and I took a helicopter tour several years ago. It was a great flight. Thanks for posting the pics.

I wish one of my instructors had taken me down there. But then again I'm not surprised because they couldn't even be bothered to take me into class C airspace let alone fly under some B. They wouldn't spin me or take me to any islands either. I should have nagged more. At the time I didn't know what I was missing out on. I wish I could get reimbursed for all the time I spent just flying in the pattern and not really making any progress. Not much I can do about it now though. . .
