Wellness Center

Yeah if they had some sort of pastry, bagel, or sandwich deal going on where you could also purchase sodas and coffee... I really think someone would make a big profit. God knows there is plenty of space in that lobby.

Its called the vending machine in Odegard Hall. They have fresh food items. Salads, Sandwiches, fruit, and then your standard carbohydrate junk and bottles of pop.

I'm a little weary getting salad/sandwich/fruit out of a vending machine... Thus, I have never tried anything out of there. I just stick to the standard chips/candybar/soda when I make a visit to the vending machines.

Good god, no one knows what to call it. I call it pop, but you know why, look at Iowa! :D I think soda implies sodium, which is salt. Calling all pop coke like they do in the south is just dumb of course. I guess us midwestern "hicks" are too lazy to call it something besides the obivious in that the bubbles pop in your face or something. :insane: Although both are derived from the word soda pop. So...

I'm gona go strangle myself for knowing that. :)

and even if it was "fresh" its from dining services, so you really should stay close to a bathroom after you eat it. Cause we all know what dining services does to your innards

The dining service food hasn't done that to me, but then again I have only eaten there 2 times (using someone elses meal ticket).

I will say one thing though - I barely ate all my food because it was extremely disgusting. I don't see how anyone can live off of it. It is literally unedible.

I blame the eye floaters I used to have in my eyes from the dinning center. There's no information on what causes them, only that they aren't triggered by anything specific. Could be a coincidence, but from December 2004 to about January of this year my eyes were a mess. All is good now and my vision is back to 20/15! :nana2:

Sweet! I happen to have hawk vision too...20/10 uncorrected. I hope it stays that way..........

I used to be at 20/10ish, depending on the light. It seems most places that I had my eyes checked(like the hallway of a doctors office :whatever:) I'd only be able to read the 20/12 line at best. I'm sure I'll improve back to that. I hope I do at least. It bothers me sometimes when I dont get air traffic spotted when I usually do, which is way farther away than anybody else I've ever flown with, but still. 20/10 means just that, twice as good vision from "normal" vision. What we see at 20 feet, "normal" people have to be 10 feet away to see. So you can imagine how odd that is to not have that suddenly.

I just heard yestereday that the wellness center won't be opening until the 25th. Not sure if it is true or not, but it is what the student ambassador had in her little binder.
