Well That's One Way to End Your Trip...... (Skywest FA)

Yep. Two of them including one where we didn't have a yard so we had to take the dog for a walk every time she had to go to the bathroom. That was less than enjoyable.

You're a bigger man than me. ND winters are full of suck.

A former frequent poster said it best. "About half way through winter you'll want to go outside and blow your brains out in the snow, just to see something other than white."

Hey, BIS ain't bad. I lived there for a while. Go play ultimate on Sunday mornings on the capital front lawn. Good group of people there. Follow it up with a dip in the river with some beers. It's not a bad way to spend a day!

I love it how the reporter left out his first name. Cox-Server
Hehe when I was a gate agent, we were encouraged to omit "provocative" sounding names whenever possible in announcements. However, sometimes I had no choice. Once I was missing a Ms "Chewypen Kok" on a Brasilia with maybe 7 people on it. When with only 11 minutes left to board, I looked at the list and saw we were missing her. So naturally I dialed airport paging and requested an all airport page while making terminal area announcements at the PA. Thankfully, my valiant efforts paid off and she made the flight with only 6 minutes to spare. As she approached my coworker shouted "KOK?!" holding her boarding pass and she was very thankful with her limited English. The students waiting to go to Chico at the gate next door were very amused.

The other that comes to mind is when an Indian gentleman by the name of Mr. "Diksh*t"(profanity filter? That's his name! :) ) left his boarding pass on the Customer Service Center counter after my coworker helped him at the computer next to me then took off running to catch his new flight on another carrier. I jumped up and shouted "Mr. Diksh*t! and the thick crowd in line was quite startled. He ran back and grabbed it then I laughed like a hyena for a minute until a supervisor took me aside for a moment. We looked up the guys reservation and I asked her to pronounce the 25 letter first name of his and that was all the explanation she needed. Of course, I didn't realize he had a 25 letter first name until we looked it up. Got lucky there. :) Funny thing is later that night my brother showed me a pic of reservation at his hotel and it was either him or someone with a very similar first name. Still have the pic somewhere. Poor guy.

I also say that THIS place has had the best sushi so far of what I've tried in: Baltimore, DC, New York, Boston, LA, SFO, Seattle, Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima. I'm craving it at the moment. There be jewels in dem dere North Dakota / Minnesota region...

It's a great place to raise a family.

@Nick am I right?!?

Can't speak for SD but as for Minny, it is indeed quite nice and so far so good....Been here since '81. No if I can get my kids into college, then it's time to get on out to warmer climates.....

Pinnacle crew(IIRC) who got caught having drunken snoo-snoo in public on a layover. That's the short story. The long story was brilliant.

Lived there for 5 years, and I agree...but when summer finally got around to blooming, it was like when the Wizard of Oz switched from black and white to color.

I liked SD a lot....nice people and extremely reasonable cost of living....but one year the planet seemed to skip a track and went right from early spring to late fall. Could be Ming the Merciless messing with us, but I'm kinda doubting it.

PS Flash.....ahhhhahhhhh! He'll save every one of us!

MSP is great in the spring/fall, I personally love summer thunderstorms and warm nights but not the humidity and all the bugs since you're more or less always near a body of water. The winter though...other than for funerals, I haven't set foot in MSP to visit family between November and March since the 90s. :)
