Well.... I guess it beats a chunk of Blue Ice.......

Would an ultralight evade radar that authorities have for this sort of thing? I wonder how high they fly them for an op like that?

Side note: Anyone watching NARCOs on netflix? LOVE it! That Pablo was a very nasty man though.

On a side note, I thought $10,000 sounded weird for 26 pounds of any drug, even the reefer. You figure 26 pounds is 416 ounces, and the police estimate of it's value is about $24 per ounce? Unless $10,000 worth of pot is all that made it to the "evidence locker", the Nogales Police are doing some great advertising for buying weed off the Cartel. That, or it's the worst weed ever grown.

I'm no expert, but that wouldn't surprise me on that kind of level of wholesale.

I'm no expert either, but a $100-200 mark up per ounce on one of the cheapest drugs has me doubting the $10,000 figure. Especially in a state where "Drugs are bad, mmmkay?" and such things tend to be marked way up to mitigate risk from the dealers. I don't know man, I just picture a man in a Cartel grow house being shown 26 pounds of weed and proceeding to whip out a briefcase proudly stating his offer of "Ten. Thousand. Dollars". And I don't see things going well for that man.

I'm certainly no expert. I think the changes in the drug laws of many states would put downward pressure on prices. That seems like a good Freakonomics chapter.
