I'm doing my Stage 14 Stage Check at 3pm... everyone please wish me luck. I already passed the oral.

Good luck, you already passed the oral, its all cake now. Done this a million times. The oral is really the only part I get nervous about anymore. Let us know how it goes.

My student has his today, hopefully he passes so we can start on the second block.

Do I really have to dress up for this? I've been putting on black pants and collared shirt each time I reschedule this stage check... is this really necessary?

Not once have I worn a tie to a stage check. But I have always dressed up whether that be a khakis and a polo, or black pants with a nice button up shirt.

And yes, it is necessary. Makes a good first impression.

And to my earlier post, my first student to go through a stage check passed. I am 1/1 Baby!

Good stuff—congrats to, both, you and your student.

I wouldn't worry about it, I'm sure we all have failed a stage check here and there. Forgetting that "gear down and locked, flaps 40" can turn a good stage check into a bad stage very quickly...

Who was your stage check pilot?

And there is no need to do a lot of review flights before the stage check. If you find yourself waiting two weeks for a stage check, it is your job to ask your instructor to do a flight for proficiency.

Ryan Carlson - he's a nice guy. I'm confident that I'll do better next time. I've learned to do another flight prior to my stage check if I have not been flying for a while.

I wouldn't sweat it. We've all been in your shoes at one point or another. Get a good review flight in and build your confidence back up, then go out and fly it like you know your capable of.
