Hopefully the Skywest Airlines pilots have taken the time to make a step forward in their future, not ten steps back.

I'll post the results as soon as I get them. about 2 more hours to go.

This just reiterates the fact that unions are slowing being bled from this and other industries in our country. Was it GM that layed off 14,000 employees after ratifying their contract a couple months back? I'm not saying that it's good or bad, but just an observation at how things are evolving...Unions are just not what they used to be. Sure seems to be a lot of "I got mine..." going on out there. :whatever:

Oh they voted down ALPA representation.
 
Looks like a lot of people lost the opportunity to complain for a very very long time! :(
 
I'm not bashing anyone in particular, the vote was a failure by the entire pilot group, but thru survey after survey conducted by alpa, the majority of the apethy were from former MESA and EAGLE pilots that hate ALPA. And I can personally attest to the survey. I can name 4 of my FO's that were anti-alpa because they had 4-6 months of experience with them at mesa/eagle. 4-6 months of experience. Yeeeeeahhhh, they've really formed a well rounded opinion being at mesa/eagle for 4-6 months.

More than 2/3rds of the pilot group didn't even bother to vote, bro--so it's wrong to to say that 2/3rds voted against ALPA, even though their abstention was counted as a "no".

Not sure that's really it; the working class is being conditioned to view unions as bad, as obstacles to their own prosperity. You can probably figure out who's behind the conditioning.

I assure you that it was a conscience decision to not vote. It was hammered over and over and over by management that not voting WAS a vote against representation. So yes, 2/3 did vote against ALPA.
