Better than inadvertently "dropping" something else methinks. I'll take a flare over a crater anyday.

As far as I remember those things are very toxic... Breathing in the smoke or getting near it isn't something I would want to do.

I had one dropped near me from an A-10 while hunting on post one time. Very bright is right!

It dropped a "flair"? Is there a minimum number of required pieces of flair to fly an A-10?

Doofer book material for the Weapons School, I'm sure.

You DO want to express yourself, right? I mean, huh, you can get close air support anywhere, but people want the A-10 for attitude...

Once while working way out in Schlitzville at the end of Bob's road I came across a foil wrapper from a flair. I thought I was so 1337.

5 years worth. I'm in Vegas now and watched North Las Vegas being illuninated with 1,000,000 candlepower last night.

Nah, don't live here, am on temporary duty here, for a couple of months. Am staying at the Hampton Inn on North 95 and Cheyanne. I live in AZ....north Tucson to be exact.
